Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) :

February 2007 - five new SIGN guidelines published covering: acute coronary syndromes; cardiac arrhythmias in coronary heart disease; the management of chronic heart failure; the management of stable angina; risk estimation and the prevention of cardiovascular disease . Patient versions of these guidelines are also available via the SIGN web site.

Charities & Voluntary Organisations:

British Heart Foundation (BHF) has a wide range of publications, statistics and resources available from its Publications section. The 15th edition of the BHF statistical compendium – Coronary Heart Disease Statistics - is available for 2007.
BHF also published a summary fact-sheet for Scotland for 2006 - see CHD Statistics Fact Sheet 2006: Scotland .

Journals:

European Heart Journal - journal of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). ESC organised a major conference in September 2007, the ESC Annual Congress.
Heart - a peer review journal for health professionals and researchers in all areas of cardiology.

NHS Scotland :

e-Library - offers access to shared work spaces for different topics, including coronary heart disease. You may need to register for an ATHENS username and password to access the NHS e-Library.
